Your Rainbow...

This post is particularly hard for me to write. I lost two dear mentors from PSEA all in the space of 2 months. President Dolores and Vice President Korri. I unfortunately could not attend President Dolores's celebration of life, but I did attend Korri's.
Korri just weeks prior at the northeast region House of Delegates had given me advice about life. Asking when I planned to get married, if I am buying a house with my fiance, and much more. The conversation ended and I felt so much better about everything just from talking to her. After the HOD, she called me to personally invite me to be apart of the new business item committee. I of course accepted! That was the last time we spoke to one another.
I remember sitting on my couch home alone and I received the email. At first I laughed. Then panic. I cried for an hour straight and I refused to go anywhere or do anything. She made a difference in my life. How could she possibly be gone?
Today was her celebration of life and boy did we CELEBRATE! The Reverend made us laugh. He made us cry. He made us reminisce. He was truly a wonderful reverend and the service was beautiful. He also left a few points:
1. "When you don't know where you are going, any door will lead you there."
2. Barriers catapult you to your DESTINY.
and
3. Her three songs: "Persistence", "Passion", and "Prosperity"
Show your Rainbow in a child's life like Korri did for me and her students.
Have a great night.
Rest in Paradise Korri <3
